Ultra Zoom vs. Magic Actions for YouTube
Magic Actions is the long-running YouTube enhancement extension — auto-HD, screenshots, theater controls. Ultra Zoom isn’t a YouTube-only tool, but if you came to Magic Actions for the hover preview and quick playback controls, Ultra Zoom Pro covers that workflow on YouTube plus every other supported video and image host.
Why people are switching
- Works everywhere, not just YouTube. Hover preview and playback controls on Vimeo, Twitter/X, Bluesky, Reddit, Imgur, Tumblr, Bilibili and dozens more — same shortcuts, same workflow.
- Zero telemetry by design. No analytics endpoint, no remote code, no “help us improve” opt-in prompts. Read the architecture.
- Manifest V3 native. Built for current Chrome without the V3 trap, and shipped as a current Firefox add-on.
- Bonus: image hover-zoom across the web. If you spend any time browsing image-heavy sites, hover-to-zoom is bundled in the same extension.
